Jeffrey is a game studies scholar and game design teacher. His research focuses on the player narrative experience, the phenomenology of playing a story, ludonarratology, and games in education. Lately he has been exploring communities of play and social play through karaoke. Prior to UCI, Jeffrey completed his MS in Digital Media at Georgia Tech, studying the dynamics of the player narrative, and completed his BA in English at Southern Utah University. Outside of UCI, Jeffrey teaches game design at schools and colleges in Orange County.
